Whoop whoop!!
There's a new pattern available in my Ravelry store - Wander & Whirl!
Wander & Whirl is a wonderfully light and lacey shawl perfect for spring and summer. It's worked straight on the bias, making it a fun and relaxing knit project.
The shawl features generous sections of lovely lace, adding a nice drape to the overall design. You have the option to add beads to the lace sections for some extra sparkle and sunlight capture.
This year’s winter has been long and dark. While designing this shawl, I dreamed of brighter days ahead - sunshine, blooming flowers, and blue skies.
I imagined the sweet scent of spring and the lively dance of light and shadow.
Inspired by these thoughts, I created something airy, catching the sunlight with its sparkling lace, inviting the clear sky and moody clouds to play with its patterns.
It’s a design that encourages your mind to wander as you feel the soothing rhythm of garter stitch, and once finished, it gently whirls in the early spring breeze. The name Wander & Whirl was born.
Choose three favorite colors of fingering weight yarn, using one as the leading color for the lace and letting the other two dance together in the surrounding sections.
Finished size is approximately 27 cm x 210 cm / 11 inches x 84 inches, making it a lovely summer (or vacation) knit due to its lightweight.
Let Wander & Whirl sweep away your winter blues and bring the sun into your heart.
You can find all the details in my Ravelry store.
